exploration and PRACTICALITY ARE MY DRIVING PRINCIPLES WHEN DESIGNING; CONSIDERING THE EXPERIENCE OF USERS IN ANY SPACE WHILST ENSURING EASE AND EFFICIENCY OF THE SPACE.

PLEASE EXPLORE AND ENJOY, THE WORK PROVIDED IS A DEMONSTRATION OF PRACTICAL WORK UNDERTAKEN THROUGHOUT MY BA (HONS) INTERIOR DESIGN DEGREE AT KINGSTON SCHOOL OR ART.

The intention is to combat the growing homeless and vulnerable adult population and stop the cycle of homelessness that A lack of life skills and mental health brings.

Various spaces have been created to encourage natural connections between multiple communities to build lasting connections and a foundational support system for at risk adults.

the cocanut festival was born out of the historical heritage of the royal borough of kingston-upon-thames.

the thriving cocoanut industry produced many products both directly (royal candle makers) and as a bi-product (floor mats and brushes).

The community fair design is based around the form that the bio composition a coconut creates and the traditional fair ground game of the cocnut shie.

these hexagonal shaped structure are made up of segments that can be used to create different forms and house various education stations to teach the heritage of kingston-upon-thames.

The design direction was to create a casual theatre with spaces that are both open and enclosed for multiple uses.

I wanted to create a journey through the building, using compression and expansion and anchoring the intervention geometry on the existing columns that run through the length of the building.
